Fenghuang Ancient Town, or called Phoenix Ancient Town. It’s a small historical and cultural town where located in border area among Hunan, Hubei and Guizhou provinces. A famous writer Rewi Alley from New Zealand had written in his book saying there are two most beautiful town in China. One of them is just Fenghuang ancient town. It’s a minority town where Miao people lived here.

In Fenghuang Ancient Town, there are many former residence to visit, like famous writer Shencongwen, former primer in Minguo government Xiongxilin, and still alived famous painting master Huangyongyu etc. Also it’s commercial town, so many shops selling local specialty one by one. In the outside of the ancient town, there is a river called Tuo river. It’s a popular place as the night view here is very beautiful, and people can take boat in the river. There many bridges over pass the river, each bridge has own special name, called rainbow bridge, snow bridge, fog bridge etc.

People knows there is a Great Wall in north China, actually there is another south Great Wall in Fenghuang Ancient Town. It was built by local Miao people as a defense wall. It’s a small sized one, but walking on the wall, you will feel historical fighting times.
