Furong town or Hibiscus town is one of the four famous ancient town in Xiangxi area. It’s the place where local ancient king lived, so its previous name called King’s village.
The remaining architectural are built in China’s Ming dynasty about 400 years ago. There are well structured and marvelous design of stilted building, and narrow stone streets. Featured of local minority people’s wisdom.
1986, a very famous movie Hibiscus Town filmed here, it’s about a love story, and the main actress was selling rice doufu in this movie. Due to this movie’s succeed, the town had been renamed as Hibiscus town from King’s village.
Nowadays it’s becoming a very popular attraction, not only its historical & cultural, but also there is a great cascade waterfall. The waterfall decorated this town more magnificent.
