Yellow Dragon Cave, also called Huanglongdong in Chinese. Located in Wulingyuan town of Zhangjiajie. According to legends there were yellow color dragon hidden in this cave, that’s why the name we call it.
It’s a classical karst cave, and huge. There are 13 dragon halls, 4 floors. with peculiar limestone formations, underground streams, Fantastic shapes of stalagmites. There are underground rivers, waterfalls, large halls and thousands of stalagmites, columns.
What the most beautiful and amazing area is called dragon palace, covers about 15,000 square meters, so many stalagmites standing in the hall, with average height of 15 meters. Among these stalagmites, there is a special one which called Sea-Suppressing Needle, it’s 19.2 meters, the highest one in the cave. And the company bought an insurance for this needle.
Taking boat in the cave river is also an nice experience, you can enjoy the natural and fresh breeze, and to see the cave in different corner.
